TERA is the Information and Communication Technologies Association of Cantabria
Cantabria’s ICT sector represents a competitive advantage in accelerating the transformation of SMEs and regional public administrations.
TERA was founded in February 2019 with the aim of bringing together all ICT companies in Cantabria interested in driving business growth, identifying synergies and jointly participating in public administration tenders and procurement processes.
New digital technologies are a major driver of social and economic transformation, providing a key source of competitiveness and having an impact across all sectors, both public and private.
Digitalisation involves challenges and changes, but it also brings significant opportunities for growth and business development for companies that know how to take advantage of them.
Cantabria accounts for 1.12% of Spain’s GDP, while its ICT sector represents only 0.3% (€291 million). There is therefore a need to coordinate and strengthen the ICT sector’s offering in order to be present wherever the market and customers are.
Cantabria’s ICT sector consists of a combination of established companies and micro-enterprises. While the former compete in national and international markets, the latter face greater difficulties in competing due to economies of scale.

To promote the advancement and competitiveness of the ICT sector in Cantabria for the benefit of our members, while fostering the sustainable development of the Information and Knowledge Society.

To combine efforts, capabilities, investment and resources in order to become the leading force in Cantabria’s Digital Transformation.
